You have the option of sailing to some excellent snorkeling sites like Bahia Chileno (Chileno Bay) or Bahia Santa Maria (Santa Maria Bay). Both of these amazing coves are government-protected marine preserves that are home to some amazing coral reefs as well as gorgeous beaches. Since they are protected from the rougher surf and winds from the Sea, both of these coves also have excellent visibility for scuba diving or snorkeling.

Santa Maria Cove has an unbelievable kaleidoscope of exotic fish, including parrot-fish, box puffers, porcupine fish, clown-fish, snappers, jacks and mantas. You may even view a small shark, octopus, or turtle. During the winter months, you could even spy a Gray Whale surfacing. These huge cetaceans travel down from the chilly Alaskan waters every year to breed, spawn and nurse. Be on the lookout for a mother Gray Whale and her newborn calf.
