All of these sites have superb visibility because they are geographically protected from the rougher wind and waves from the Sea of Cortez. You will begin at the splendid Twin Dolphin Bay before moving on to the federally-protected waters of Santa Maria Bay and Chileno Bay (bay in Spanish is Bahia). As you snorkel at these sites, you will view a dazzling array of hard and soft corals, sponges, sea urchins, crustaceans, and brilliantly-colored exotic fish. More than two hundred different animal species populate the Sea of Cortez, including dolphins, rays, sharks, morays, and even octopi.
