Just south of San Jose del Cabo, the beaches at Costa Azul have especially nice swells, especially from early March through the close of October. Costa Azul, a series of beaches on the Sea of Cortez, is known for consistent waves from spring through early fall. You can find a beach to fit your experience level at Costa Azul. The most advanced surfers venture north of the arroyo for the larger waves of Zippers. Zippers can present challenging action for salty veterans. South of the arroyo, there are two more surf breaks, the Rock and Old Mans Break. Intermediate or mid-level surfers will enjoy the consistent waves of the Rock. Novices love the calm, yet consistent waves, at Old Mans Break (also called Playa Acapulquito).

Old Mans Break is the destination for new surfers looking for instruction. Our knowledgeable instructors will instruct surfing novices to catch the waves here utilizing a foam board. Youll be riding the waves in no time. We can teach anyone to surf from age five and up.
