A Dolphin Encounter allows participants to interact with a Pacific Bottlenose Dolphin in the controlled environment of a shallow water platform off the dolphin habitat at our expansive marine mammal compound in downtown Cabo San Lucas. Whether you are not the best swimmer or would rather interact with these charismatic aquatic mammals in a more secure context, you will be delighted by hugging, petting, and receiving an amorous dolphin smooch on our Dolphin Encounter. Our marine mammal specialists will directly supervise all animal interactions, ensuring a safe and fun-filled interaction between our visitors and the Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins. Once you arrive at our cutting edge dolphin facility, you will first have the opportunity to learn about these remarkable cetaceans during a brief orientation. Our English-fluent marine biologists will discuss the behavior, anatomy, diet, and habitat of these fascinating creatures. You will not only learn how these brilliant animals communicate over great distances underwater, but also they utilize their unique ability to echolocate. You will also be taught how to communicate with these smart mammals by using the hand gestures utilized by professional animal trainers. Once at the saltwater pool, you will have the chance to use these newly-learned communication skills to direct the dolphins to perform amazing acrobatic feats. Then you can enter the shallow platform to encounter these animals up close. We keep the number of participants on our Dolphin Encounters limited in order to optimize each participant's time with these delightful dolphins.
