Tour Summary
Kids on vacation in Cabo San Lucas have the unique chance to interact with the Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins at tour modern Cabo Dolphin Facility in Los Cabos. This specially-designed Dolphin Facility is located in the Cabo Marina in beautiful downtown Cab San Lucas on Bahia Cabo. At this compound, Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins are trained to interact with the public. These fascinating marine mammals are peaceful creatures, especially when encountering children.
The Dolphin Kids Program was expressly intended for participants aged four to nine. Kids can enjoy the opportunity to relate with the dolphins at the Cabo Dolphin Center in our special childrens encounter platform. These sociable cetaceans will cherish the attention their young playmates as the kids lavish their attention on the dolphins. Our experienced bilingual trainers take special pride in providing a safe interactive environment for younger kids. Parents will appreciate the educational merits of this eco-friendly tour. The Dolphin Kids Program provides ample interaction between kids and the Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins.
The program begins with a poolside introduction between the kids and a dolphin. The dolphin trainers at the Cabo Dolphin Facility will supervise all interactions as each child spends individual one-on-one time with a dolphin. To ensure optimal interaction and participation, we limit the size of each Dolphin Kids encounter on our custom shallow water platform.
Kids will be delighted while petting, hugging, and kissing these gentle aquatic animals. After the shallow water encounter, the children will be entertained as the dolphins perform a dazzling show of acrobatics in our pool.
Do I need to reserve in advance?
We have a limited number of participants during our dolphin activities, so in order to assure your place we suggest your reservation in advance, especially if you plan to visit us during the high vacation season.
May I bring a camera or video camera to take pictures?
Cameras are not allowed into the pools or observation areas for your safety, for the dolphins safety and the safety of the equipment but professional photos will be available for purchase after your experience.
Can I wear Sunscreen? (SPF)
While we recommend you wear sunscreen, it must be biodegradable for the protection of our dolphins and sea lions. Any other sunscreen must be showered off before entering the dolphin area. Our gift shops sell biodegradable sunscreen.
Can I wear jewelry?
We recommend you remove all jewelry, including wedding rings, ear rings, and piercings, before coming to the dolphin center. Although we provide an area to secure your personal belongings, it is easy to drop, lose or misplace jewelry, so we recommend you to leave your jewelry and small items secured in your accommodation’s safe or front desk safe.
Why do we limit the number of sessions for people to interact with dolphins?
At Cabo Dolphins, the animals' health and welfare are of primary importance. The sessions are limited to ensure an enjoyable schedule including a variety of activities for the dolphins. The dolphins spend only a combined total of less than two hours each day voluntarily interacting with the public. The rest of the day is allocated to the dolphins' private time, valuable training time, as well as play and social interaction.
How safe are Interactive Programs?
In-water-interactive programs have a remarkable, well-established record of dolphin and human safety. The health and safety records of these innovative programs have been studied, analyzed, and restudied for over 20 years, each time reaffirming their exemplary achievements.
Can I do any of the dolphin programs if I am pregnant?
For your personal safety and the well being of your unborn child we do not allow pregnant women to participate in our dolphin and sea lion programs.
How many kids participate in each program?
We take a maximum of 6 kids per program

- Cruise ship guests must book directly through the cruise ship
- For children ages 4-9 only
- Parents may accompany their children to the poolside observation area for no extra charge, but do not interact with the dolphins
- $10 per person (observer or parent) will be due upon boarding the transportation bus for transportation fees.
- Please do not wear sunscreen or jewelry
- For safety reasons, cameras are not allowed in any of the pool areas
